We only collect what we need to sell you whisky, look after your bookings and, if you ask us to, keep you in the loop. Here's what that means in plain English.

What we collect

When you order: your name, email, phone number and delivery and billing addresses.
When you join the Stonecutters Club: your name, email, and your birthday if you choose to give it.
When you book a visit or tasting: your name, contact details and booking details.
When you browse the site: basic, anonymous information such as pages visited and device type, collected through cookies.

How we use it

To process, pack and deliver your order, and to contact you about it.
To manage your bookings at The Spirit Door.
To confirm you're old enough to buy alcohol.
To send you news, releases and Stonecutter offers, but only if you've said yes. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
To understand how people use our site so we can improve it.

Who we share it with

We never sell your information. We share it only with the services that help us run the business, and only what they need:

Squarespace, which hosts our website and online shop.
Stripe and Klarna, which process payments. We never see or store your full card details.
Our courier, so they can deliver your order.
me&u, which manages our Stonecutters Club sign-ups and emails.
NowBookit, which manages our bookings.

Some of these services may store information outside Australia.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies to keep your cart working, remember your age confirmation and measure visits. You can turn cookies off in your browser, but parts of the shop may not work.

Keeping it safe

We take reasonable steps to protect your information and only keep it for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires.

Seeing or correcting your information

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Just email or call us and we'll take care of it.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. If you're still not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
